How to Clean Inside Oven Door glass on a Neff
To clean inside oven door glass can be surprisingly difficult, particularly on some Neff ovens and certain other models. Large ventilation openings in some oven doors can allow grease, steam and cooking residue to enter between the glass panels, leaving unsightly marks that cannot be removed with normal surface cleaning. At first glance, some Neff oven doors appear to have no obvious way of accessing the inside of the glass. Unlike many oven doors, there may be no visible screws that can simply be removed to separate the door.
Cleaning Between the Glass Panels
On some Neff oven models, the inner glass panel is designed to be removed without dismantling the entire oven door.
The glass is held in position using spring-style clips attached underneath the glass, which are not immediately visible.
The correct removal method varies depending on the specific model, but the glass can generally be released carefully and lifted away from the door to provide access to the areas between the glass panels.
Once removed, the glass can be thoroughly cleaned to remove grease, cooking residue, streaks and baked-on marks before being carefully refitted.
Don't Forget the Middle Glass Panel
Some Neff ovens also have a middle glass panel supported by loose plastic corner brackets. This panel may also need to be removed to properly clean between the oven door glass panels.
Although it can be tempting to remove the screws from the oven door and completely dismantle it, this isn't always advisable on these particular models.
The door can be difficult to reassemble correctly, particularly because the middle glass panel needs to remain correctly positioned while the front and rear sections of the door are put back together.
